Even though Kannur has several beaches, the best sea view point is near the Kannur lighthouse. One can enjoy a romantic evening sitting in the wooden benches facing the mighty Arabian sea, watching the setting sun, or you can climb down the sea and sit on rocks, as the waves keeps splashing at you from all sides. There is a well constructed walk-way (about 300m) along the beach side, where many people come for morning & evening walks. Overbury’s Folly, i guess this name is in fact a part of the life of almost all the people in Thalassery. This scenic, calm, quiet Sea shore picnic spot along the western coastline with historic Thalassery Fort and Sea View Park on both sides is a hot spot especially among the younger generation around this area.                       Anjarakandy Cinnamon Estate was the second biggest cinnamon estate in the world. it was known as Browns Cinnamon Estate. It is spread over an area of 250 acres in and around Anjarakandy. In 1798, Francis Camak Brown Started Cinnamon plantation here, Beside Cinnamon he planted sandal wood, Coffee and Cotton. About 7 acres of Cinnamon garden was destroyed by the fire in the western side of the estate.           There had been a bungalow, near the Anjarakandy river side. People attacking others who’re in opposition as if they’re mere animals.
