The anniversary is being celebrated at all parts of the word and the one in Kerala will be held at Kannur District library council hall on January 15th . The event will be inaugurated by Dr. B Ekbal former Vice chancellor of Kerala  university. We know everyone was eagerly waiting for this month’s competition. As usual we have a cool competition this month too. Campus Blogs in association with ayruz web holdings and aswini is organizing a photography competition from 12th November 2010 to 25th November 2010. The competition will be open for all and is not limited to the CampusBlogging Network. The winners will be announced in December.                       Anjarakandy Cinnamon Estate was the second biggest cinnamon estate in the world. it was known as Browns Cinnamon Estate. It is spread over an area of 250 acres in and around Anjarakandy. In 1798, Francis Camak Brown Started Cinnamon plantation here, Beside Cinnamon he planted sandal wood, Coffee and Cotton. The name Kannur district is named after a famous town Kannur. The old name Cannanore is the anglicised form of the Malayalam name Kannur.
