Even though Kannur has several beaches, the best sea view point is near the Kannur lighthouse. One can enjoy a romantic evening sitting in the wooden benches facing the mighty Arabian sea, watching the setting sun, or you can climb down the sea and sit on rocks, as the waves keeps splashing at you from all sides. Overbury’s Folly, i guess this name is in fact a part of the life of almost all the people in Thalassery. This scenic, calm, quiet Sea shore picnic spot along the western coastline with historic Thalassery Fort and Sea View Park on both sides is a hot spot especially among the younger generation around this area.
